I am a passionate Education Professional with three years of working experience. I believe that Education is the key to social change. Thus, my goal is to work in the Education sector. I believe I would be a great addition to any school, due to my experience teaching and tutoring.
I have been teaching and tutoring since 2015. I am currently working part-time as a Teaching Assistant as well as a Student Secretary at UCLA. I am a fast learner and highly motivated. I am very detail oriented and organized. As I am fully bilingual in both English and Spanish, I have exceptional communication skills. My experience student teaching with a Kindergarten Teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District taught me about lesson planning and classroom management and gave me valuable teaching experience. I truly enjoy working with people. In addition, I am skilled at problem solving and maintaining a positive attitude in challenging situations.
I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant within the Educational Studies department, assisting with tutoring, grading, and occasional presentation of content of EDUC 201 courses.
I execute secretarial duties within the Educational Studies department, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, making copies of correspondence, operating electronic mail systems, and more.
I worked as a student teacher, observing and shadowing a Kindergarten teacher from the Los Angeles Unified School District. I completed lesson plans, created curriculum content and assessments, and gradually took over classroom teaching.
I currently work two part time jobs while finishing my Educational studies at UCLA. I also volunteer for the Reading Buddies and Boys & Girls of America programs. I have been listed on the Dean's List every semester of my college career.
