An occupational and preventive medicine specialist who lives and works in Oklahoma City, OK, William D. Jones, MD, simultaneously serves as the secretary and treasurer of the Oklahoma College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He earned his doctor of medicine from Brown University in Providence, RI, and also holds a master of public health from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. William D. Jones, MD, subsequently undertook a residency with the University of Oklahoma’s Department of Family and Preventive Medicine Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. At the end of his residency, he received a National Award for Outstanding Resident of the Year from the American Medical Association Leadership Program.
Before establishing his own private practice in 1996, Dr. Jones provided part-time patient care with the MedPlus Family and Occupational Medicine Centers of the Advanced Physician’s Group. He has also served as a part-time occupational medicine physician with St. Anthony Hospital and General Motors.
