Scope: NEST is a brand new low-cost workplace pension scheme that will help millions of people on low and moderate incomes who do not have access to a good-quality workplace pension, save for their retirement. It has been created as an essential part of the major UK pension reforms to address under-saving in retirement. As part of this venture, NEST’s Scheme Administration is delivered by TCS.

    Role:

    • Succeeded in providing evidence of business solutions in the form of IT services to the Business Requirements of NEST (brand new low-cost workplace pension scheme) as part of the Business Requirements Solutions team during the bidding/competitive dialogue process with the client at London, leading to the award of the 600 million pound Scheme Administration Contract to TCS. The contract is for 10 years, with possible extensions of up to 5 years.

    • Undertook the initiative of eliciting, capturing and documenting the sequence and relationship among various business processes/services and their business rules that make up the backbone of each process in the form of Business Process Maps (using TIBCO) and Use Cases, Process Architecture Documents and Internal Design Documents, successfully delivering the end-to-end deliverables required for the scheme within the deadline.

    • Drove Design Workshops with NEST and the internal Development teams at Peterborough (UK) to effectively articulate the Business Requirements into Technical Requirements and Specifications, and guided various Development teams - Core functionality development, MI, Operational Communications, Service Delivery, Scheme Website, Testing and other peripheral teams to deliver the services within the agreed timeline.

    • Spearheaded the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution by the client at London, culminating in a successful Scheme Launch in the UK in the month of July 2011, providing end to end pension services to numerous stakeholders on the web channel at www.nestpensions.org.uk.

All rules required for computation of volume/override commission are maintained in the DMS. The main functionality of the DMS is to capture distributor details and their agreement details. Further, DMS creates payment files and General Ledger posting, which would be sent to external systems.

    Role:

    • Delivered the Business Requirement Use Case Document, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Value Chain and Business Context Diagrams to enable the Design and Development teams to customise the product for large prospective clients – SBI Life Insurance and DLF Pramerica Life Insurance.
  • Project - ING Greenfield Service - India December 2007 – May 2009
Scope: ING had charted a strategy to enter the countries in the European Union, starting with Italy, where it had no presence in the life and pensions market through the introduction of an innovative Variable Annuity product with guarantees and living benefits, by partnering with local banking institutions. The scope of the project was to provide and support end-to-end IT services in the Annuity Market at Italy.
AGF Green Field (AGF GF) is an application software to meet the requirements of the Single Premium Variable Annuity (SPVA) product for the Italian market. The base application was migrated from 8i DB / 6i forms/reports to 10g DB/10g forms/reports. The functionality of the Product was then enhanced and integrated in the migrated AGF GF application.
