• Head of Research for a geographically-based cohort study on chronic diseases in 4,500 children born 1993-94 and follow-up to age four (19 maternity hospitals, supervision of 5 to 10 physicians, psychologists and nurses over 7 years): study design, fundraising, budget management (CHF 1,7 M), statistical analysis, international presentations and publications
• Representative mail household survey on childhood injuries (n=27,000): same responsibilities as above plus media interventions on injury prevention
• Swiss multicenter adolescent health survey 2002: development of a scientific, logistic and professional network in the 20 participating cantons from 3 cultural regions, after gaining support from the Public Health and School authorities; study design and questionnaire development in 3 languages; data collection and analysis
• Epidemiologic surveillance of abortion 1990-2002 (Vaud), improvement of existing data content and type of analyses, contribution to the new abortion legalization legislation at national level in 2002
• Development sexual and reproductive health indicators for the Swiss Health Observatory
• Consultant to the Vaud Public Health Department (1991-1992): definition of health policy objectives based on population health indicators; study of inappropriate hospitalizations in a regional hospital
• Head of a quality certification team for the assessment of a rehabilitation center (upon request from the Public Health Department, 1995)

• Member of the Childhood Injury Prevention Group of the Swiss Bureau of Injury Prevention (BPA), 1992-1997
