An experienced Californian vocal instructor and music director, Tony Atienza earned his bachelor of arts in music from the University of California at Irvine before matriculating at San Diego State University to complete a graduate assistantship in choral music and secure a single-subject teaching credential in music. Over the course of his career, Tony Atienza has provided classroom instruction and directed musical performances at institutions of learning that range from Southwestern College to Lakeside Middle School.
Mr. Atienza’s theatrical musical credits include classics, such as Les Miserables and West Side Story, and modern favorites, such as In the Heights and Legally Blonde. He has also led show choirs to championship wins, such as the Southern California Show Choir Invitational and the Fame Show Choir National Finals.
In addition to his admiration of Broadway theater, Tony Atienza is an avid sports fan who follows the basketball team the Golden State Warriors and the Chargers football team. He is also a video game enthusiast who regularly plays World of Warcraft.
