The recipient of a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Rochester, Todd Goldring began his career in financial management in 1995 as an assistant over-the-counter market maker with New York's Sherwood Securities, where he restored profit and loss on a daily basis and developed numerous institutional accounts. Todd Goldring later worked as an institutional sales assistant with Monness, Crespi, Hardt & Co. as well as a financial advisor with Prudential Securities.
In 1999, Todd Goldring was hired as vice president of the risk arbitrage department at HCFP Brenner Securities and, the following year, generated over $3 million in commissions. He followed up on these accomplishments by taking a position as a managing director with FTN Midwest Securities, where he created the firm's risk arbitrage department, which, through a four-year period, generated annual average commissions of $4 million.
After achieving similar success with both Credit Suisse and Cowen and Company, Mr. Goldring was hired as director and head of event-driven sales by Citigroup in 2013. Since joining the firm, he has developed strategies and research ideas for the company's internal proprietary book and generated over $25 million in revenue in each of the past three years. Outside of his professional pursuits, he holds membership with the Fairview Country Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, and enjoys playing baseball, basketball, and tennis.
