Dr. Timothy Vance Blair oversees the School of Music, Department of Art, and Department of Theatre and Dance as the dean of the West Chester University (WCU) College of Visual and Performing Arts. A seasoned piano player, Timothy V. Blair also teaches piano at the university, over the course of his time there receiving a promotion to the role of associate professor. He joined West Chester in 1990, as assistant professor of keyboard music.

At WCU, Blair has led several major projects and negotiated multiple important partnerships with educational and artistic organizations, including such entities as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Brandywine International Piano Institute, and the Apple Authorized Training Center for Education. He also spearheaded a campaign to purchase over 100 new pianos by Steinway and Sons.

Outside of his teaching responsibilities, Blair continues to perform at concert venues worldwide. Among them are the China Conservatory of Beijing and the Holywell Music Room in England.
