Timothy Shields (Stanford)

Timothy Shields has spent more than a decade with UBS in Chicago. For the past three years, Shields has handled program and portfolio management for the financial institution. His responsibilities include creating frameworks for information technology solutions and ensuring that tasks proceed according to budget and schedule. Throughout his tenure with UBS, Timothy Shields has also overseen vendor management strategy, business process outsourcing, and software licensing.

Prior to becoming part of UBS, Tim Shields enrolled in the Stanford MBA program. Concentrating on operations and finance, he became an active part of the student body. He developed an interscholastic trivia competition and participated in athletic activities, including hiking trips and whitewater rafting. Moreover, while earning his MBA, he gave back to others by joining Challenge for Charity and uniting West Coast business schools in philanthropic endeavors.

Today, Tim Shields continues to better his community. As a volunteer with Working in the Schools in Chicago, he tutors children who require additional guidance, in addition to bringing youth to the UBS offices so that they may experience a professional workplace. Furthermore, he sits on the Board of Directors of the Montessori school Morningside Academy in Oak Park and advises the institution on financial management and marketing.
