An experienced Indiana-based consultant in the fields of business development, public policy, and education, Thomas Stoughton has worked with educational organizations, government agencies, and corporations. Thomas Stoughton’s clients include prominent names like American Express, the Indiana Department of Education, and Purdue University. He most recently served as president of Business Consulting Incorporated (BCI), a firm that he founded in Indianapolis.

Prior to establishing BCI, Stoughton functioned as an administrator with the Indiana Alcoholic Beverage Commission and consulted to the governments of Marion County and Indianapolis. In the latter position, he contributed to the creation of a budget worth $1 billion. The recipient of a master of science in instructional systems technology, he has also taught as an associate professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

Outside of work, Stoughton remains actively involved with his community. He chairs the board of Progress House, a nonprofit that helps individuals dealing with homelessness and substance use. In addition, he founded the Center for Successful Parenting and started the Heartland Film Festival.
