Thomas Jake Sawyer Arkansas

The recipient of a bachelor's degree in history from Arkansas Tech University, Thomas Jake Sawyer is a former health and physical education teacher who has coached successful football and basketball programs at the high school level. Thomas Jake Sawyer began his teaching career in 2001 with Houston's Northland Christian School, where he taught physical education and bible study, and served as a defensive coordinator for the school's football team. He launched the football program upon arriving at the school and helped guide the team to a state championship appearance in 2006.

Mr. Sawyer earned certification in strength training from the International Sports Science Association, and later took on a teaching position with Fort Bend Christian Academy. In two years with the Sugar Land, Texas-based high school, he started a strength and conditioning class that grew from 12 to 125 students and led the track and field team to its first district championship in 13 years.

Outside of his career in education, Mr. Sawyer founded Eagle Strong Ministries, a nonprofit organization that assists individuals with various needs, whether financial, spiritual, or physical in nature. He also has served as a life coach and a motivational speaker at schools, businesses, and correctional facilities across the United States.
