Since 2008, Thomas Finke has served as chairman and CEO of the global institutional investment management company Barings LLC. As head of Barings LLC, he leads a firm that manages $215 billion in assets, maintains offices on four continents, and serves clients in more than 20 countries. Thomas Finke has overseen the integration of the Barings LLC subsidiaries Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers and Wood Creek Capital Management, for which he acts as chairman and director, respectively. While president of Barings LLC between 2007 and 2008, he directed the US Bank Loan division.

With over 27 years of experience in financial services, Tom Finke has worked in the areas of high-yield and syndicated loans for the Bear Stearns Companies, the Bank of New York Mellon, and First Union Capital Markets. He co-founded the $3.6 billion high-yield loan management company First Union Institutional Debt Management and began his tenure with Barings LLC upon its acquisition of First Union in 2002. Earlier during his tenure as CEO of Barings LLC, Thomas Finke spent several years as executive vice president and chief investment officer of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company.

After receiving a BS in commerce from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce, Tom Finke completed an MBA at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. He serves on the Structured Finance Industry Group Board of Directors and regularly speaks at summits of the Milken Institute, a Barings LLC Capital Management partner.
