Tara Kristoff is the area foundational coordinator for science for the South Cook Intermediate Service Center (ISC4), an organization based in Chicago Heights that provides scholastic services to over sixty public school districts and other educational stakeholders throughout southern Cook County. Her duties include instructing ISC4 teachers and administrators in implementing national Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in the classroom, with a focus on developing study units and academic assessments. Tara Kristoff is also pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership with a concentration in organization and policy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Ms. Kristoff holds membership in several professional organizations, including the National Science Teacher Association, the Illinois Science Teacher Association, and the Association for Curriculum, Supervision, and Development. The Library of Congress recently chose her to write engineering curricula for grades 3-12, using its ample historical resources. The curricula she develops will be used in the United States and throughout the world.

Tara Kristoff speaks nationally at professional development conferences, instructing teachers and administrators on ways to integrate Next Generation Science Standards with English language arts.
