An alumna of the University of Southern California, Tammy Olson earned a BS in business and marketing. Beginning her career in 1997, she served as vice president at Marsh & McLennan, where she was responsible for providing employee benefit consulting services to large and mid-market employers. After nine years at Marsh & McLennan, Tammy Olson left the firm to serve as an account executive at Anthem, where she managed large national oversaw benefit plans for large employers.
In 2008, Ms. Olson returned to Marsh & McLennan, rejoining the benefits department, which had been consolidated into Mercer – a Marsh & McLennan division. Serving as principal and senior benefits consultant, and leading the west coast market exchange she developed short and long term strategies regarding the affordable care act. She left Mercer in 2015, to serve as vice president of client services at Hixme. There, she helps large employers in the setting and meeting of employee benefit goals with the aim of reducing costs while maintaining employee satisfaction.
Outside of her professional life, Tammy Olson maintains an active lifestyle, which includes running, swimming, skiing, and competing in triathlons. She enjoys cooking, and currently focuses on producing healthy dishes conforming to the paleo diet.
