Responsible for the Technology Department which provides all technology infrastructure, systems and services which are identified as necessary and appropriate to plan, support and operate the Games major deliverables, inclusive of planning and Games-time operations.
The position entails being largely a service provider to all other functional areas and client groups across the organising committee. The Technology Department incorporates the following Program Areas:

Oversaw all media operations matters and attended to accredited media (press, photo and broadcast) within 1 of the main venues in Singapore; ensuring all media requirements were fulfilled and in place for competition.
Supported Host Broadcaster’s Broadcast Venue Manager for broadcast requirements; providing strategic communications input to the Media Communications Manager (located at MMC) for incidents necessitating follow-up action, including; holding statements.
Provided leadership, motivation and strategic direction to staff, playing a key role in their development.
Planned and implemented accreditation services for the Olympic Games in 2004 (producing credentials for all Games participants, athletes, officials, media and staff) with a client group of 300,000 people – leading and directing a team of 2000 people from 202 countries.
Produced 500,000 credentials including Visas produced in Athens.
Ensured adherence to a strictly regulated process directly linked with the security of the event.
Active member of a team that formed 3rd funding proposal from the EU and participated in the European Community Infrastructure Support Steering Committee.
Coordinated ICT e-portals, B2B applications and education campaigns.
Began early career in roles of Cryptographer with the Greek Army, Insurance Agent with Helvetia Insurance and leading into Director of Information and Telecom Systems.
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:
Coordinated the development and marketing of major projects and prepared auditing policy guidelines as Senior Consultant at Intrasoft in Athens (1993 – 2005).
Developed and applied audit methods for 110+ participating companies in STAR, Telematics and IMP EU programs as Project Manager at the Federation of Greek Industries (FGI), Athens (1991 – 1992).
Designed and implemented a plan to cover the entire electronic infrastructure as Director of Information and Telecom Systems at the 1991 Mediterranean Games in Athens, including: accreditation, transportation, food and hospitality planning, logistics, competition and timing systems in 30 different locations around Greece while leading and directing ~450 people.
Gained valuable experience as a SW Consultant at McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
