Steven Orr Broker

Before he became an investment broker, Steven Orr performed a variety of roles in the oil rigging and construction fields. Throughout his history as a surveyor, field engineer, and laborer, he built both residential housing and highways, operating a range of heavy equipment including bulldozers and cranes. Steven Orr also owned and operated a construction company that specialized in the creation of cable TV infrastructure during the cable boom of the 1980s. By the mid-1980s, he had expanded into the financial services industry as a broker, and in 1994, he established his own money management and investment firm in Victoria, Texas.

In addition to his ongoing work with Orr Financial Group, he is dedicated to educating the next generation of industry professionals. His experience as an instructor includes teaching courses on investment strategies under the auspices of institutions of higher learning such as the Houston Baptist University and various campuses in the University of Houston System.
