Objective: I am a passionate System Integrator with 10 years of experience in Digital TV and Telecom businesses. I'm looking for new challenges in a multicultural hi-tech environment.
Over the last 2 years, I’ve been working as a Systems engineer at Nagra, focusing mainly on deployment and maintenance of Conditional Access Systems. Previously, I've been involved in different roles including development, debugging, integration, bugs' triage up to the delivery of STBs software for various very demanding cable and satellite operators, providing them with on-site support.
Integration in digital TV environment for cable and satellite Set Top Boxes (SD/HD PVRs and Zappers). Representing Technicolor on-site for key customers: • Media Networks (MNLA) in Peru (October 2012 - June 2013), in charge of certification for Telefonica LATAM STBs, • HOT in Israel (January 2011 - September 2012), successful deployment of new HD PVR STB (features: VOD, series linking, RF4CE…), • NET Serviços in Brazil (October 2010), • ZON in Portugal (April 2010 - September 2010), • UPC in Netherlands (November 2008 - April 2010).
Participating in the deployment of new products and software upgrades in a demanding environment with tight schedules.
Support and interface with various partners (drivers, middleware, conditional access systems, applications) including OpenTV, Nagravision, NDS, Livewire, TeleIDEA as well as Technicolor teams in France, China and Brazil.
System integration including following tasks: • Writing of test plans • Organizing CCB (Change Control Board) • Updating bug tracking system • Investigate and analyze STB behavior to identify root cause of issues and potential solutions to solve them: > First-level bugs analysis and triaging > In-depth debugging of issues under our responsibility in collaboration with development team > Bugs resolution and generation of engineering builds > Validation of fixes and non-regression testing • Configuration management with Clearcase • Running and tracking tests cycles, sanity testing ; validation of deliveries to customers • Development in C for software enhancement (eg interface with OpenTV Core middleware) • Supporting Technicolor teams (R&D, Validation) with reproduction, clarification and definition of issues or new requirements raised by the customers and the partners. • Setting up remote testing environment on customers' premises, with live feed, for software validation and stress tests • Escalating customer issues and technical concerns when necessary • Reporting to project management.
Technical environment: C, OS21, Linux, DVB, STB, Rational ClearCase, Jira, Clearquest, Mantis, STWorkbench, GDB, ST Toolset, Broadcom Broadband Studio
Integration of multimedia features (TV-out and FM radio) for Motorola's smartphones.
Writing of test plans, configuration management with Clearcase, code review, delivery of components and sanity testing, planning and running tests cycles, bugs analysis and resolution (Symbian - C++).
Coordinating partners (Symbian, Texas Instrument, Sasken) and internal developments
C and C++ development: • Video streaming server to broadcast digital TV (using DMB - Digital Multimedia Broadcasting - standard) over a local network. • Decoding of a data service (MOT - Multimedia Object Transfer) for digital radio (DAB - Digital Audio Broadcasting).
Programming in Java: Software development in order to manage and update test scripts within Mercury Interactive TestDirector tool.
Technical environment: Java, TestDirector open test architecture, IBM VisualAge for Java, Bridge2Java software (gateway between Java and ActiveX components).
