A medical doctor with a history of administrative experience in both the private and public sectors, Steven A. Field, MD, currently teaches a variety of high school science courses through the Hillsborough County School District (HCSD) in Tampa, Florida. In addition to his 9-year history with the HCSD, he has been a faculty member with Tampa’s Hillsborough Community College for the past two years, teaching both Introductory Biotechnology and Biotechnology I. Steven A. Field, MD, has also served tenures as an assistant professor with the University of South Florida’s Division of Occupational Medicine in Tampa and a visiting professor at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In addition to his career as an educator, Dr. Field has served clinical positions with multiple medical facilities and operated his own private practice for 17 years. He is also an accomplished medical researcher, completing studies on subjects ranging from surgical gown comfort to bioterrorism.
