Throughout his career, Steve Verdooner has guided the development and commercialization of technologies that identify disease markers in the retina. He has authored numerous patents, both in the U.S and internationally, as well as many peer-reviewed articles appearing in such publications as the American Journal of Ophthalmology and the Journal of Glaucoma. In addition, Steve Verdooner has received grant funding from such sources as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which supported his development of noninvasive optical imaging technologies for the identification of amyloid beta deposits as a marker of Alzheimer's disease.

Steve Verdooner oversees the development of this technology as CEO and director of NeuroVision Imaging, Inc., a company that he co-founded with Keith Black, MD. Continuing to advance the company's mission of clinical technology innovation, he expands its resources through mutually beneficial research agreements and the securing of Series C financing.

Steve Verdooner draws on prior experience as co-founder of Ophthalmic Imaging Systems, where he created a high-level scientific advisory board and strengthened the company's position as a commercial entity. In addition, he drove profitable operations for six years in succession which saw a significant increase in the company's stock price.
