Stephen M. Timms

Stephen M. Timms is the vice president of strategic programs at International Golden Group (IGG), an integrated defense systems provider based in Abu Dhabi. With a proven track record of leveraging international and cross-cultural marketing strategies to promote business development, he is responsible for managing IGG’s various technology and strategic programs. Since joining the company in 2011, he has signed up numerous major international partners and won several key strategic military programs. With more than 25 years of experience working in the field of technology defense products, Stephen M. Timms is familiar with a wide range of areas, including ISR technologies and FMS procurement.

Mr. Timms prepared for his career by working as a civilian engineering technician for the United States Navy while simultaneously studying for his bachelor of science in electrical engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Upon graduating, he joined Hughes Aircraft Company (now Raytheon Missile Systems) as a missile test equipment engineer. He stayed at the company for 16 years, during which time he received his MBA in international business, and worked his way up to manager of international business development. Mr. Timms then joined a leading international defense technology company in 2001 before starting his current position 10 years later.
