Company Description
An Arm’s Length Body of the Department of Health which through three divisions covered the UK Public Health Service. It lead and contributed to improved, safe patient care by informing, supporting and influencing the health sector.
Following the change of government in May 2010 elections, it was announced that the NPSA agency was one of 10 Arms Length Bodies to be abolished by the new coalition government in an attempt to make savings in the health sector. Officially due to close down by March 2012, redundancies took place from March 2011.
