Detailed Description
  • Duties included managing the office, while monitoring - in close collaboration with local Authorities and relevant International Organizations and in steady contact with local villagers - the 824-km border, particularly to prevent possible “refoulements” of Cambodian refugees.
  • Duties also included assistance to civilian war wounded, notably through negotiation with border Thai hospitals and delivery of medical equipments and supplies..
  • In addition to the successful development of the routine operation, achievements include the writing of a comprehensive multi-sectoral and contextual Contingency Plan.
