An accomplished Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and South African Chartered Accountant, Stanley Fur is the head of operations of The Goldbergs Group in Atlanta, Georgia. In this capacity, he oversees the company’s nine retail New York-style delis and two Atlanta Braves All-Star Grills. Mr. Fur supervises more than 400 individuals involved in the production and retailing of deli goods and attends regular meetings with department heads to create new strategies. Since joining the Atlanta company in 2012, Stanley Fur increased revenues by over 200 percent and augmented the firm’s in-house human resources and marketing capabilities.
Mr. Fur prepared for his career by completing the five-year bachelor of accounting program at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He subsequently spent five years working as a controller for Highgold International, (Pty) Ltd., the largest privately owned film distribution company in South Africa, before moving to Houston, Texas and accepting the role of audit and tax senior and supervisor at Grant Thornton Certified Public Accountants. From there, Mr. Fur worked at such companies as Laventhal & Horwath, and Robinson, Rabinowitz, Fur & Bernstein, gaining experience in all aspects of financial management, audit, accounting, and business management before starting his current position.
