Before arriving at the United States to pursue his career, Soupitak Pal previously worked as a lead application engineer at Applied Materials in Bangalore India. In this position, Soupitak inspected and reviewed errors within the superconductor industry. After completing his PhD, Pal traveled to the United States to continue his postdoctoral studies.
