A successful investor and entrepreneur, Scott Sohr has built and managed over seven companies across such industries as real estate, finance technology, and healthcare. Much of this was done through his business STS Ventures. Serving as the president of the Nashville-based company, he and his team oversee the conception and development of various startups. Over the years, Scott Sohr and STS Ventures have been involved in the creation and success of Built Technologies, a fintech company focused on the construction lending industry; Correct Care Solutions, a healthcare solutions and service business; and Elmington Capital Group, a commercial real estate investment and development company.
Mr. Sohr began his career during his sophomore year at Auburn University. While studying for his degree in mechanical engineering, he created a business that sold highly engineered thermoplastics to companies manufacturing molded plastic parts. He subsequently earned his MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and co-founded Health Cost Solutions, a third-party administrator of medical plans.
Health Cost Solutions was eventually absorbed into STS Ventures, along with many of the companies Scott Sohr established before STS was created. These companies include Environmental Waste Solutions and Correct Care Solutions.
