Sarah Alicia Moya Machado is an experienced global oil and gas industry-leader who excels in areas of crisis management and both social and environmental management. Over the course of her career, she has handled multiple negotiations with the governing bodies of numerous oil-exporting nations. A French citizen, Sarah Moya Machado began her career as an energy-issues consulting specialist engaging with the French government. She has since assumed executive positions in the oil and gas industry such as senior business analyst, director of international affairs, and national manager.
Ms. Machado studied political science at Sorbonne University in Paris, graduating with a doctor of philosophy. She also holds the equivalent of a master’s degree in business and a degree in economics. While pursuing her degree in business at the Sorbonne, her studies emphasized the relationship between Latin American countries and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
In her leisure time, she enjoys dancing, traveling, and watching Ted Talks. She is also a fan of Cirque du Soleil.
