Planning: Serve as a member of the Faculty Board and relevant library committees. Plan and set goals and objectives for the future of the Medical Library. This responsibility includes determining the services needed, the most effective way to provide them, and the resources necessary to support them.
Marketing: Market and promote the Medical Library and its products and services. Responsibilities include publications, programming and public relations; develop and manage relevant research and subject guides using the LibGuides system
Customer Services: Provide proactive customer-oriented services provided by the Medical Library. This responsibility includes activities like reference/research services and accessing resources.
Collection Development: Manage both printed and electronic collections of the Medical Library. This responsibility includes to identify suitable resources for the Faculty of Medicine and to purchase them within assigned budgets.
Human Resources: Manage the personnel of the Medical Library. This responsibility includes hiring, training, and evaluating personnel.
Administration: Manage and direct operations and facilities of the Medical Library. This responsibility includes activities like establishing goals, monitoring statistics, developing work plans, managing facilities, and supervising on a day-to-day basis.
