Dr. Ronnie Floyd serves as senior pastor at Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas. He has played this ministry leadership role for 27 years. During the past 13 years, Dr. Ronnie Floyd has overseen the church’s efforts in planting 100 new churches worldwide.
Previously, Dr. Ronnie Floyd held the title of chairman of the Great Commission Resurgence of the Southern Baptist Convention. In that role, he presided over the reallocation of funds in ways that supported church-planting initiatives.
Dr. Floyd is the prolific author behind the titles, Our Last Great Hope: Awakening the Great Commission and The Power of Prayer and Fasting. The latter book points to the deep roots of what, for part of the Christian body, is a rediscovered spiritual discipline. In the book, Dr. Floyd emphasizes that praying and fasting have been ordained in the Scriptures as demonstrating obedience and humility before the Lord. He also provides personal testimony on how the practice of prayer and fasting has affected his life.
The pastor completed his doctor of ministry and master of divinity degrees at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has earned recognition as one of the institution’s Distinguished Alumni.
