An experienced jewelry designer and retailer, Roman Malakov has owned and operated his own diamond-cutting and jewelry-making company for more than 15 years. From its headquarters in New York City, Roman Malakov Diamonds is committed to producing extraordinary stones through an assiduous process of sorting and cutting. Over the years, the company has developed a reputation for cutting some of the largest and most exceptionally colored gems in the world.
Mr. Malakov then uses these gems to create unique pieces of bridal and other high-quality jewelry, drawing inspiration from famous jewelers and jewelry companies such as Cartier, Graff, Van Cleef and Arpels, Boucheron, and Harry Winston. He also directs the company as its chief administrator, overseeing human resources transactions and all daily retail and wholesale operations.
When he isn’t working, he enjoys entertaining his grandchildren and playing multiple musical instruments. He is also an avid sports fan, whose favorite team is the New York Knicks.
