Robert Windsor, MD, is a respected presence in the Georgia health care community who led Marietta-based National Pain Care, Inc., until 2016. As chief medical officer and CEO, Robert Windsor, MD, was responsible for the growth profile of a company he established in 2011 as one encompassing existing clinics, including Kentucky Pain Care, PSC, Kentucky Pain Physicians, PSC, and Georgia Pain Physicians, PC.
Dr. Windsor’s experience as an interventional pain management physician extends to late 1990, when he opened Sunbelt Spine & Sports Medicine, PC, in Atlanta. He guided Georgia Spine & Sports Physicians, PC until 1997 when he developed Georgia Pain Physicians, PC. He also served as clinical assistant professor with Emory University’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine during this time.
In 1997, Dr. Windsor took on a role as Georgia Pain Physicians Pain Management Fellowship founder and program director, a position that he continued through 2016. He has trained more than 100 physicians by way of the program and takes pride in having brought quality pain management services to underserved communities. From 2002 to 2007, Robert Windsor, MD, also engaged as Emory University’s program director of its pain management fellowship.
