The greatest thing about instructing is the reward one gets from learning. Every day, teachers have an opportunity to learn new content or skills, get to know some other person more fully, or perfect the craft of teaching. Over my 20 year career in education, I have taught many different subjects and grade levels and I have learned much about the science and art of teaching itself. In more recent years, my interests have broadened to include the use of technology in education: from internet-based tools to content-specific software and hardware.
- Identified and wrote proposals for three grants which generated over $20,000 in computer hardware and software for departmental curriculum.
