Based in Grass Valley, California, Robert Fettgather, Ph.D., leads a successful career as a psychology professor. Possessing over 35 years of professional experience, he has earned multiple credentials in education, counseling and stress management training. Dr. Robert Fettgather currently teaches various psychology courses at Mission College including human growth and development and abnormal psychology.
Dr. Fettgather previously served as psychology lecturer at San Jose State University. He also spent time as an adjunct professor at National University, where he taught courses in educational psychology.
Dr. Fettgather earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Jose State University. As a master’s student at the University of Santa Clara, he earned an education specialist credential. After earning an MA degree in education, he pursued doctoral studies in psychology and graduated with a Ph.D. in 1985.
A member of Psychologists for Social Responsibility, Dr. Fettgather is an advocate for human rights and volunteered at the Coalition for Elder and Disability Rights for 5 years. His other interests include camping and the study of Buddhism and other religions.
Robert Fettgather is a co-founder of Tashi Lhunpo Buddhist Sangha in Palo Alto, California. While a student of Buddhism and a teacher of psychology, he also engages in activism and advocacy in an effort to serve his community
