Richard Rinaolo brings more than 15 years of relevant business experience to his current role as Managing Partner at NSPV Venture Fund. Working with the firm since 2009, Richard Rinaolo has closed multiple rounds of investor financing and assumed equity stakes in five ventures. His responsibilities include overseeing investor relations, supporting growing companies through various stages of development, and assessing investment opportunities on behalf of the firm.

Before accepting his current role, Richard Rinaolo served as the President of Phase II construction in Lake Bluff, Illinois. As the founder of the company, he grew business to more than $4 million in revenue and earned multiple design awards for his work. Richard Rinaolo also filled the role of Managing Partner at Questar Equity. During his time there, he successfully leased 85,000 square feet of commercial property and developed more than $45 million in commercial real estate. Before joining Questar Equity, Richard Rinaolo served as the President of Smithfield Companies, where he oversaw the design and construction of high-end residential properties throughout suburban Chicago. Under his guidance, Smithfield Companies grew to more than $7 million in revenue.

Richard Rinaolo earned his Bachelor and Master of Arts at the University of Chicago. He graduated summa cum laude and received multiple accolades, including the Isthmia Fellowship and the John H. Hawthorne Prize.

Richard Rinaolo belongs to the National Association of Home Builders, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, the National Venture Capital Association, and the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association. Rinaolo’s community activities include contributions to the University of Chicago Alumni Association, The Oriental Institute, and the Lake Forest Open Lands Association.
