As executive vice president of New York's H.J. Kalikow & Company, Richard Nasti leverages more than three decades of real estate development and management experience to direct the firm's day to day operations. Richard Nasti has worked with the firm in various capacities since 1987, during which time he has concurrently held numerous pro bono positions in both government and education.
Regarding government, Richard Nasti served on the board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in the early 1990s and previously held the role of regional administrator of the Urban Mass Transportation Administration. The region for which he was responsible comprised New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and the Virgin Islands and had an annual budget of $1 billion. He is also a former campaign director and chief counsel to United States Senator Alfonse M. D'Amato.
Prior to earning a juris doctor from the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Nasti received a bachelor's degree in economics from Stony Brook University. He continues to support his alma mater through his role as chairman of its Center for Italian Studies and as a board member of the Stony Brook Foundation. He has also served on the boards of Iona Preparatory School and Iona College.
