A project consultant for the Marin County Office of Education, Rey Mayoral is involved with the Dreamers Project, which is working to create a pilot program called Partners and Families for College and Beyond. Families in need who have a child with college aspirations can obtain assistance through schools and community organizations. Some of the services available to students include tutoring and workshops that focus on college preparation and finances. Rey Mayoral is also an administrator mentor with Terra Linda High School, where he trained the new principal.
Prior to his current roles, the retired educator was the principal of Novato High School/the Marin School of the Arts. Rey Mayoral graduated with an MA in education from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he also earned a BA in physical education.
Outside of work, Rey Mayoral enjoys traveling across the country. He has visited several states, including North Carolina and South Carolina, Arizona, California, and New Mexico. Mayoral also follows local professional sports teams, particularly the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers.
