For the past 11 years I have been consistently developing my personal and professional skills, working in various business environments.
During the first two years I proactively participated in the release of new projects for an international logistic platform at Renault Group. For the next five years I was working for Indal Group, joining Philips Lighting in 2012. For the following 3 years I took on the position of Commodity Manager at Biosearch Life, which was an opportunity to deploy everything I had learnt over the previous 7 years, implying a quick-adaptation test in a new sector with its own and particular regulations.
This varied experience allowed me to acquire a wide knowledge in different areas like: Project Management, International Logistics, Supply Chain, and especially a broad experience in Procurement and Purchasing as well as Supplier-Quality role.
During my work experience, I have also had the opportunity to use different ERP's, like BAAN IV or also be involved in the software integration itself, like the case of Oracle (e-Business Suite R12) and SAP R3 PR2.

Due to the positions I have worked in, I have had the chance to visit multiple places and countries, working with many people, always under big pressure environments, achieving challenging goals and with strict deadlines. At a personal level, I really enjoy practicing multiple sports, reading, but especially travelling to discover new astonishing cultures and wonderful places.
-Managing a small team of 2FTE‘s and a bargaining power of 12% of the total train-set costs, I was responsible for the Front Nose and CabinRoof system as main sub-system assigned for Talgo-Avril F070 project.
-Auditing shortlisted suppliers for every sub-system, following internal company procedures.
-Being responsible, additionally, for complete train-set structure for Renfe F070 project and the acquisition of all aluminum extrusion profiles for carbodies, and Hedging operation for LME aluminum price-index.
-Monitor the negotiations for side-windows and Gangways, and as in Welded Steel beams and Side-Panels for Powerheads also made of steel.
-Acquire all those fairings necessary to cover the delicate parts of the train, being quite sensitive those areas where gravimetry impacts are present (car-frames)
Achievements:
-Working actively we managed to sign a deal to collaborate in the design and production of Front-Nose and Cabin roof systems with an Aeronautics supplier for first time, dropping the final weight significantly and defining an open-costs collaborative-flow and using state-of-art technology for fulfilling with European-ETI standards and becoming a landmark in Railway Industry.
-Collaborate with internal team appointed to implement E-commerce / B2B MarketPlace SAP Ariba in the organization.
-Provide support for the renewal of European standardisation ISO 15896, audited by Bureau Veritas Co.
-Directly reporting to the Supply Chain Director I was initially in charge of a sensitive pack of Commodities, acquiring the complete package after 6 months, being promoted thereafter to Supply Chain Manager, managing a team of 4 FTE’s and a purchase volume of 9 million euros per year and assuming all responsibilities for the entire supply chain. -Taking over reporting calculation and scorecard update on a monthly basis. -Auditing Suppliers following the Audit-plan previously defined with Quality Dept. and deploying manifold Automotive-Lean tools such like PPM-VSM-8D-Ishikawa-VSM, among others. -Being responsible for non-quality incidents, defining the actions to take, and calculating the cost of quality.
-Optimizing the supplier database, finding new potential suppliers and re-homologating the existent ones. -Building up strong and firmly relationships with key-relevant suppliers on future by creating long-term contracts. -Stock control, and Shortage Quarter report creation with action plans defined into. -Monitor Market trends acting proactively against potential scarcity risks.
-Driving new products release in continuous collaboration with Commercial and R&D Dept. and support for those under API legislation. -Actively self-taught and deploying Business Intelligence tools Microsoft PowerBI and collaborative-design of MySQL queries in SAP BO.
Achievements:
-2,75% Savings obtained for direct-material purchase and 5,5% for indirect for two years in a row. -75% direct-purchases under GPA. -Team up spirit enhancement for cutting “working-alone” behaviors present into the organization.
-Quality Microsoft Access database creation for quality-incedentology assessment and Dashboard defined for information quick-search. -Excel Dynamic reporting for monthly auto-update created and quick-view design for easy decision making. -Effective dashboarding by using special PowerBI features this app has built in for full-organization data-connection anywhere, anytime.
-Directly reporting to Supply Chain Manager and Head-Office in Netherlands I was on the lead of KPI's measurement, and initiate corrective actions. -Assess the viability of concept savings, projects and cost-down programs and develop and deploy a strategic plan working closely together with buyers, procurers and stakeholders. -Managing a team of 9 FTE's, being coordinator of Procurement, Purchasing and Accounting areas and being responsible of a purchase volume of 45 million euros. -Drive Supplier audits in collaboration with Factory SQE.
-Monitor negotiations of "Supplier General Purchasing Agreements" (GPAs) and "Logistic Handover Documents" in collaboration with Commodity central team. -Be key part in ERP SAP integration. -Be active part in the transfer of two projects, and the introduction of 6 new products.
-Risk analysis of the current supply base establishing and implement Supply Chain strategies and processes to meet changing business needs. -Initiate, support and/or drive complexity reduction in supply base. -Forecasting methods – preparation for monthly S&OP meeting and analysis of accuracy thereafter.
-Management and coordination of component specification changes. -Track mold/dies status acting proactively. -Responsible for Reach&Rohs directives compliance.
Achievements:
-Two digits savings in supplier external spend (3,5% Direct-Nego Saving + 6.5% Concept Savings). -Capacity and production raise of 75% from middle 2014 onwards without stock-outs, proactively acting in shortages events. -Correct implementation of SAP R3 modules. -EDI system in place for key internal suppliers.
-Supply base harmonization, adding experienced new suppliers, removing 42% of NPR suppliers, and deploying new tools like: 8D, MQS, PPAP, VDE 6.3 or Early Involvement. -Daily FAP for problems follow-up deployment. -Raise in the internal audit score from 99 points to 255 in one year. -Set up of weekly meeting for components introduction/modification monitoring.
Reporting directly to the Factory Purchasing Manager, my key tasks were: -Supplier negotiation in cost down exercise being responsible of an increasing purchase volume from 8 million euros to 12 million -Negotiate Supplier Purchasing agreements. -Evaluate supplier throughput according to current supplier evaluation method. -Auditing supplier facilities periodically following ABC plan and pre-set frequency.
-Implement component classification system -MRP Analysis and Verification -Maintain and updating system master data with new component information. -Support to R+D in New Product Introduction (NPI).
Achievements:
-Savings obtained worth in 240.000 euros in 2011, duplicating the figure in 2012. -Release on time of the first 100% LED product, for outdoor lighting, of the factory. -Achieve 88% of purchasing worth with suppliers evaluated and with purchasing agreement in place. -ISO 140001 obtained.
-Key member to achieve new ERP Oracle (e-Business Suite R12) integration on time. -Fulfilling all personal objectives on 2012, being considered a "role model" for HR Dept.
-Ensure raw material and component inventory in held within limits, to deliver weekly production plans. -Timely placement of purchase orders on suppliers (MRP). -Ensure purchase orders are shipped on time from supplier- expediting when necessary. -Customer support to domestic and abroad delegations. -Management of Product Phase-out/Transfers and New Products Introduction (NPI) in collaboration with R&D. -Compilation, analysis and presentation of key data related to inventory stock management towards to Management, planning actions to ensure minimal obsolescence stock.
Achievements:
-3 new products released on time. -4 development plans with suppliers carried out.
-Reporting directly to the General Manager, my main roles there were: Define logistic flows by choosing the preferred carrier and back up, packaging optimization working proactively with Engineering and Quality Dept, defining prices with central office and looking for a container volume maximization working with warehouse people. -Additionally I was in charge of deployment of two new tools for the measurement of supplier logistic performance and for logistic non-compliant management. -Collaborate in diverse VSM (Value Stream Mapping) for layout optimization, reception by the use of ASN (Advanced Shipping Notification) and electronic documentation handle (dashboards).
Achievements:
-Establish and implement a supply chain for 4 different projects worldwide, worth in 44 million euros, for either import or export purposes, obtaining all the requirements for milestones on time and creating an adequate plan for transferring all the information needed to mass-production team. -Personal recognition to the best-managed project from the platform's opening with lowest logistics and quality incidents compared with the rest of platforms involved in a determined Project. -Container optimization with 8-12% higher values than other customers, cutting-logistics-costs in 75.000 euros during ramp-up phase, and 400.000 during the first year of mass-production.
-Drive the change in new project introduction, by defining follow-up files, common folders, introducing "early involve" of other departments like Quality or Engineering Dept, creating training sessions with warehouse employees and defining with the warehouse manager Jidoka aptitudes against new company challenges or emerged problems.
-Greatest amount of suggestions approved and applied between all indirect labor.
-Logistics and administrative flows optimization. -Collaborative Layout re-design. -Asian and Arabian countries' logistic flow harmonization. -Back-up administrative staff.
Achievements:
-Improve of 8.75% in key logistics indicators, specially centered in Asian customers. -"Muda" reduction in administrative tasks equivalent to 200 hours/year. -Build query's using Business Objects XI, for containers loads optimization and workforce estimation.
-Organize, coordinate and be active part in a course with 43 students, divided in two groups. The aim of this course was to provide the attendees a basic knowledge about 3D Studio Max, version 9. -This course was 30 hours lenght per group.
Achievements:
-High score achieved in customer evaulation, 8.7 points over 10. -High attendance, close to 96%.
Excel 2010 New Features: Slicers, Professional Balance Scorecard, Technical Dashboards, Expert Graphic Design and Introduction to VBA & Macros. Formulas: real case uses for Excel's formulas (Offset, match, index, Vlookup,etc). Pivot Tables: Advance use and conection with VBA. Length: 350 hours in-person classes.
Course 270 hours lenght, focused to improve above skills by the use of real-case exercises. Actively working in groups, teachers tried to enhance good and ethic behaviours in team and time management.
Language Inmersion program granted by Spanish Goverment, leaded by Vaughan teachers during 7 days 12 hours a day. Specially focused to improve grammar, vocabulary and presentation skills, all students were involved in full day programs oriented to enrich their english.
Global Supply Chain master, oriented to experienced proffesionals or students finishing their degrees, with 220 hours in person, 150 hours destinated to senior thesis, 30 hours booked for factory tours and 800 hours (only for students) for intership. This master embraces all aspects of supply chain, from procurement to expeditions or internal logistics, covering also others aspects like: MRP-MPS, Stock control, breakpoint or total cost of ownership. Additionally several seasons related with Kaizen, 5S, TPS tools (VSM, Jidoka, etc) or Lean (manufacturing-warehousing) were given. The degree standed out for being organized and taught for experienced profesionals and well-know unversity teachers.
Have the honor to have written the most consulted senior thesis along the course 2006-2007. My project was based on 3D desing using 3D Studio Max, Mentalray renderization, and real-time customization program with Macromedia Director Mx and flash programming. Likewise this project was granted with the second best score for university students that year.

I had the pleasure of elaborating my senior thesis as the same time I was working at Renault Group. This project was about the difficult and burocratic process to export finished goods to Iran. This project not only considered how improve the process and make the flow easier, but how dismiss some waste-paper documents, and how accomplish all the requirements needed related to safety and security. This project was choosen by Cylog as the best between 27 candidates.
I had the opportunity to collaborate with AERCE organization sharing my knowledge about how these two incoming technologies; Big Data and Business Intelligence may help on Purchasing Dept's daily activities and how these could enhance the value of the department into the organization.
