Sourcing vendors and negotiating with them for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price and deliveries. (Initial, Prelim and Final stage)
Analyzing cost of products to determine components leading to higher price and suggesting alternatives to meet business needs maintaining same or higher aesthetic value of products.
Coordinating new development and bulk production with the team, QA and suppliers
Arrange on-sight developmental workshop for San Francisco team
Work with Designer/Tec/Fabric/Trims team and Factory to develop BLOCK FIT/PROTO for ILA/FLA meeting & participate in the meeting to take on sight decision
Make sure to develop Commercial samples as per calendar to catch the market
Taking necessary steps to approve all pre- production samples as per timeline for Bulk production thru Global Pre-Production Tool (GPPT)
Develop different Wash Map/Dupes based on the target/Designers requirement.
Making plan for the seasonal Bulk production working with San Francisco supply planner and Vendors at the beginning of the season thru a tool named Board Walk (BW)
Allocation of Product for Bulk based on product type, costing, factories capability and capacity
Follow- up Bulk production thru various tools like ZPTR, WIP, Over Phone and regular Factory Visit
Managing liability thru cut off program
Day to Day trouble shooting and decision making thru email communication, Tele-conference
