An accomplished educator and administrator, Priscilla Slade received a bachelor of science in general business with an emphasis in accounting and insurance from Mississippi State University and a master of public accounting from Jackson State University. Priscilla Slade pursued a PhD in accounting at the University Of Texas at Austin, where she held scholarships from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and taught entry-level accounting classes.

Dr. Slade serves as special assistant to the provost at Jackson State University, responsible for the University Global Office. In addition to establishing the Office of Community College Relations, which works with community colleges to help increase enrollment of transfer students, she created the Destination Graduation Policy Initiative to improve retention among African American male students.

A frequent speaker at academic conferences on topics such as study-abroad programs and how to more effectively engage young people, Priscilla Slade presented at the 2015 Annual Conference of the Midwest Academy of International Business.
