Peter Fahrenkopf began his career in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry over 30 years ago as a sales representative for Cleveland, Ohio-based American Greetings. During his extensive tenure with the company, he advanced through several roles, ultimately leading the growth of American Greetings’ party goods brands as vice president of Design Ware and Balloon Zone. He subsequently spent several years as president of CPG-executive consultancy The Competitive Advantage Group, before joining Henkel Corporation. As director of sales, household and stationery, for Henkel’s Consumer Adhesives division, Peter Fahrenkopf produced $10.5 million in incremental revenue by executing a business plan that increased sales with major food, discount and drug retailers.
Since 2009, Peter Fahrenkopf has served with SurTech Brands, LLC, advancing from director of sales to vice president of sales, household and stationery. Across these positions, he has overseen sales operations in the US and Canada, developed high-performing leadership teams, and devised strategies that have generated significant increases in both revenues and profits.
Mr. Fahrenkopf belongs to a number of professional organizations including the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and the International Housewares Association. Also a member of the Global Market Development Center, he recently received designation as a board director and co-chairman of the General Merchandise Advisory Board.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Peter Fahrenkopf contributes to diverse philanthropic organizations operating in the US and internationally, including the Kids In Need Foundation, Presbyterian World Mission, and the American Cancer Society, among others.
