Peter Bria serves as a systems engineer for Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEA CORP) in Rhode Island. Through this veteran-owned business, he contracts with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, where he began his career more than two decades ago as a URI software engineer intern. Peter Bria accepted this role shortly before receiving a bachelor of science in mathematics from Salve Regina University.
Following Mr. Bria’s graduation from Salve, he went on to complete graduate-level courses in computer science at the University of Massachusetts. In addition to that, he accepted varying positions at both In-Depth Engineering (IDE) and Innovative Defense Technology (IDT) prior to starting his current job.
In his free time, Mr. Bria is a dedicated collector of sports memorabilia, coins, and trading cards. He is an active participant in online trading card activities, and attended the Baseball Card National Sports Collectors Convention. A former hockey player at Salve Regina University, he continues his connection to the sport as a hockey coach.
Mr. Bria also maintains an active presence in the professional community. In 2017, he attended the NDIA Joint Undersea Warfare Technology Fall Conference. He has also earned several honors and awards for his work with the defense industry. In addition, he contributed to the book Implementing Automated Software Testing.
