Peter Blendonohy

An accomplished doctor of osteopathy, Peter Blendonohy laid the foundation for his professional success as a student of psychology and biology at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. After earning his bachelor of science from Georgetown, he matriculated at the State University of New York at Buffalo to continue his biological studies. Peter Blendonohy ultimately obtained his medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Blendonohy is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation who works at multiple hospitals throughout greater Chicago, Illinois, in conjunction with Rehabilitation Associates of the Midwest. A colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard, he concurrently serves as chief surgeon for the State of Illinois.

Outside of the professional arena, Dr. Peter Blendonohy assists with Georgetown University’s Alumni Admissions Program and interviews Georgetown applicants through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. He is also an avid reader, who particularly enjoys historical nonfiction, and a frequent traveler, who has journeyed extensively both domestically and abroad.
