  • Regional Program Manager, Simplifying the Business (StB), MENA (Middle East & North Africa)
  • Represent and support StB (Electronic Ticket (ET), Common Use Self Service (CUSS), Bar Code Boarding Passes (BCBP), IATA e-Freight, Radio Frequency ID (RFID)) in MENA (include training). As a direct result, all IATA airlines members in the region got involved and committed to the ET target and started their projects, and the first three MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) were signed that covered CUSS, BCBP.
  • Handled the regional budget for the StB program that included the yearly and monthly budgeting and expenses forecasting, insuring that all expenses are within the set limits.
  • Developed the StB team portal that was used to exchange information online between the virtual team.
  • Became the regional expert on StB issues providing support for the airlines and IATA country managers.
  • Met airlines and other stakeholders to discuss progress and needed support, develop action plans and remove obstacles.
  • Organized – successfully – events and workshops for StB in the region and took part in them as presenter.

  • A USAID program for the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development.
  • Senior Information Technology Consultant.
  • Wrote the “National Strategy for Poverty Alleviation” – IT section that was adopted by the Jordanian government in 2002.
  • Designed the Poverty database, hosted at National Aid Fund (NAF), managing two full time programmers (Oracle, SQL, UNIX & Windows) that reduced the time of processing applications and reduced duplication.
  • Produced the first poverty maps utilizing GIS (Geographical Information Sampling) using ArcView 8.2, including analysis.
  • Project manager for the automation of NAF (500,000$ budget – with additional 500,000$ as standby);
  • o Re-design of NAF network, includes linking 50 offices in Jordan.
  • o Putting specification for PC & Servers, Tenders.
