A New York-based bankruptcy attorney, Norman Kinel is a partner with Squire Patton Boggs in its Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group. He provides a full range of services to clients spanning diverse industries in complex bankruptcy matters. A graduate of Yeshiva University with a BA in political science, Norman Kinel earned his JD from the American University, Washington College of Law.

Mr. Kinel has practiced with several well-established law firms, such as Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan LLC, and Sidley Austin LLP. Before assuming his current role in 2015, he spent five years with Lowenstein Sandler LLP, working in its corporate reorganization and insolvency practice group.

Norman Kinel has extensive experience in all aspects of bankruptcy litigation, including in connection with contested confirmations of plans of reorganization, exclusivity, substantive consolidation, and assumption and assignment of executory contracts and leases. He is also well experienced in mergers and acquisitions in the bankruptcy context, including bankruptcy asset sales

Currently, Mr. Kinel serve as the National Chair of Squire Patton Boggs’ Creditors’ Committee Practice Group.
