Born in Venezuela, Norka Martinez has been interested in music and movement since she was quite young, completing training in piano and modern dance. She overcame a significant emotional problems in order to follow her dreams of becoming a successful pop music performer. More recently, Norka Martinez faced a major health-threatening challenge.
Although it broke Norka's heart to do so, she ultimately put her career on hold due to her serious struggle with epilepsy. Now, three years and three surgeries later, she has returned to good health and to the music industry with the upcoming release of a new album which combines different rhythms and genres. Many of the songs on this album reflect the difficult experiences that she has undergone and conquered.
Emilio Estefan also produced Norka Martinez’ first release, Milagro. This album featured the top-10 Tropical Media Base single Like You Do It. The song reached an even larger audience through a remix by DJ Ralphi Rosario and El Cata. This album promote Norka's career internationally and reached prominent positions in several Billboard lists.
