2003-2006: co-founded and led a global (78000 staff, US$5billion profit) change programme to adapt and adopt Lean 6 sigma. Influenced, advised and coached senior leaders on skills, capabilities, processes and structures to reach an integrated commercial optimisation.
2000-2003: Deputy Business Unit Leader for the merged BP, Amoco and Arco Fuel Logistics in the US - 1600 FTEs, 80 terminals and 300 trucks.
1998-2000: Mergers & acquisition project leader: Experience in creating, changing and splitting JVs. Sold the European wide Commerce & Industry indirect channel of trade. Negotiated down the acquisition price of Mobil Fuel assets in Europe as the BP/Mobil JV was split.
1996-1997: Exploration & Production project team leader in Venezuela: Set-up and led a joint BP/PdVsa Extra Heavy Oil Project from reservoir to market managing a US$2.5M annual budget and a team of 20. Became a strategic showcase.
1995 to 1997: Crude Oil trader: From junior trader to team leader.Book profits above US$20M
1991-1995: various roles in refining and Supply: Maintenance team leader, production planner & commercial optimisation expert.
Trade Crude Oil grades, managing French Speaking and South European accounts. Manage the commercial risk and price exposure of the crude book Design, implement and optimize Crude trading and supply strategies for Bp/Mobil European Refineries. 1994 entrepreneurial P&L contribution: US$15MM, establishing my reputation as trader. 1996 Asset trading Profits : US$50m for Europe of which US$23MM (150% of plan) from direct personal contribution.
