After a few years spent in software development, I joined Essilor Singapore in 2007.
I am now leading a team of 20-25 consultants who deals with IT development & support. The scope of our applications is very wide as we have customers from various departments in Europe (Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, R&D,...)
Gather functional requirements and suggest viable IT solutions (with following concerns: scalability, interoperability, performance, development & maintenance costs)
Break down development tasks for the most accurate quotation & planning
Task assignments as per team mate strengths
Constant follow-up with development team (weekly review of assignments & definition of new objectives)
Regular communication with oversea clients (build KPI based on the progress vs initial planning/quotation)
Risk, Problem & Change management
Project closure (Quality of the deliveries, Deployment, Documentation & Maintenance)
