My decision to move to Europe and further my education through CEMS has resulted in my most valuable experience to date. The opportunity to travel, interact, work with people of all different backgrounds and develop my interpersonal skills.

The CEMS MIM program has allowed me to develop into a well rounded person, combining my interpersonal skills and teamwork ability from management education with strong problem solving skills and technical expertise in engineering and finance.

  • Developed a CFD conjugate heat transfer model (coupled fluid and solid heat transfer simulation) for simulating experiments
  • Reviewed experimental data on effusion cooling experiments. Responsible for developing correlations on film cooling and heat transfer to be used in improving the combustion design system
  • Performed CFD analysis to support the design of a heat transfer test rig. Recommended areas for design improvement
  • Lead stress analyst for the Rocky Mountaineer Silver Leaf railcar redesign project (ANSYS FEA/Mechanical)
Detailed Description
  • Analyzed the structural impact of reducing a passenger rail car's side posts in order to accommodate larger windows in redesign
  • Created a parametric 3D model using ANSYS DesignModeller to incorporate design changes and compare the proposed design to the existing design
  • Performed Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on rail car designs using ANSYS Mechanical
  • Created documentation of design changes and aided in the preparation of the stress report to be delivered to the customer
