About Me
Nancy Friesen is a Settlement Worker employed at Adult Language and Learning in Chatham. Through her experience she has assisted countless newcomers with positive integration into the Chatham-Kent area. She is also employed at Community Living where she enjoys supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. She has had the amazing opportunity of working as a Member Relationship Coordinator partnering with non profit agencies in the Windsor community. During this time she was recruiting volunteers to assist with volunteer activities.
Nancy has organized and coordinated numerous successful events including; Family Literacy Day, Car Wash Fundraiser, CK Youth Festival, Build a Bear for Paediatric Kids, and Backpacks and Cineplex for Kids. She especially enjoys the recruitment portion of the job because it brings out her vibrant personality and character. Nancy has received her Community Service Worker and Law & Security Administration Diploma in 2007 and 2009. She has continued ongoing training such as CPI, First AID & CPR, ASSIST, and Self Harm.
Nancy lives in Windsor and loves spending her free time with her little family. She enjoys learning and succeeding through the pressures of a challenging environment.
