Over the course of her career, commercial real estate lending professional Monica Johnson Schroeder (SCS) has conducted preliminary analysis and facilitated the closing on a variety of real estate loans. She began working in this capacity as a senior closing specialist with Collateral Real Estate Capital, where she closed loans for purchase by banks and other lenders. Subsequently hired at Capmark Finance, which became Berkadia Commercial Mortgage during her tenure, Monica Johnson Schroeder managed underwriting as well as processing and closing for loans within the company's offices in the southeastern United States.
In 2010, Ms. Schroeder became assistant vice president and senior real estate analyst with Beech Street Capital. She has remained with the company into its current iteration as Capital One Multifamily Finance, where she oversees processing for a national portfolio of residential community loans.
Monica Johnson Schroeder (SCS) holds a bachelor of science cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she concentrated in real estate. She stood out as a two-time recipient of the Tommy and Anne Hagwood Endowed Scholarship in Real Estate as well as the Alabama CCIM Troy McLendon Scholarship and the Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship. Named to Beta Gamma Sigma as well as the Golden Key International Honour Society, she also participated as an active member of the Financial Management Association International.
