Project: King Abdul Aziz International Airport Development Project(KAIA)(PHASE 1) – Jeddah • Main Contractor : Saudi Binladin group (SBG) • Consultant : Dar Al-handasah • Cost Of Project ( Orascom Scope about): 1,640,000,000.00 SR • Description Of Job: Principally but not necessarily limited to: • Review all the projects’ specifications related to my scope of work. • Inspect the executed works against the project specifications and Quality control standards and procedures. • Inspect and close the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Internal or those issued by the Engineer/Consultant. -Expediting corrective and preventive action proposal responses to NCR’s raised and their action upon acceptance -Re-inspecting works to ensure corrective and preventive actions taken are adequate • Participate in the preparation of the project QC Procedures, inspection and test plans according to the project Quality Plan. • Check and forward the Daily Inspection Request to the client after carrying out the internal inspection. • Co-ordinate with the client's inspection team for final & approved inspections. • Coordinate with the Site/Section Engineers to arrange daily inspection program. • Prepare daily QC Inspection Report and submit it to the SR QCE/Quality Control Manager. • Check and make sure that the work is executed in accordance with the latest approved drawings. • Prepare check list for any discrepancies or nonconformance activities to follow up and submit it to the SR QCE/Quality Manager. • Check on Hold points. • Issue NCR whenever a non-conformance has been found. • Keep records of all inspections done by third party as well as the Corporate QC Manager on equipment vendors or fabricators. • Assist the Corporate QC Manager in following outstanding issues as a result of the inspections. • Review the QC section in the submitted tender documents and summaries the requirements. • Participate as required by the Corporate QC Manager in site visits. • Perform other assignments as necessary to support the function/department -Review Quality Control related change orders related to Construction / Commissioning activities • Description Of Project: The existing infrastructure and facilities OF KAIA are inadequate to cope with increasing demand. To relieve congestion, accommodate future growth and achieve the optimum objectives for commercialized Domestic / International Passenger and Cargo hub operations, KAIA requires major expansion and upgrading of its existing infrastructure and facilities. The KAIA expansion shall take place in three Development Phases: the first phase for 30M passenger capacity; the second phase for 43M passenger capacity; and the final phase, for 80M passengers capacity. The Work include(Aprons, Taxiways, Roads, Tunnels, Bridges, Load Centres and Infrastructure, transportation Centre and Supporting Facilities)
