I turned my love of music into an actual career for going on 17 years now, originally starting off in the record label business, seeing the huge change and development of the recorded music industry with the introduction of digital music and new ways of doing business. Developing my skills starting from promotions and licensing, to overall label management and marketing, working with some of the best artists and albums EVER, and being responsible for their success in the Australian music landscape.
I then moved over to the digital media side of music after seeing a gap in the market place for music content and effective digital music marketing avenues.
Originally joining Pagesdigital launching 'Groupie Magazine', Australia's first digital music magazine to sit alongside their digital fashion magazine 'Pages', then developing Pagesdigital to a website portal for music, fashion and lifestyle content. Working with partners on monitizing the site, and being on top of the latest digital developments whether it be content, social media or ways to develop the business further.
Most recently I was managing the Pagesdigital day to day business and general business development in the competitive digital media landscape.
Conceptualizing the direction of each digital issue of Groupie Magazine each month, managing budgets, contributors, shoots, and deadlines. Managing music content across the digital platform Pagesdigital.com, management of EDMs and social media. As well as music industry advertising sales - creative content ideas and pitching. Developing and maintaining strong music industry relationships.
